Don, Jack, Vere and Allen Gardner served in the US Merchant Marines, Army-Air Force, Navy and Marines, respectively, during WW II. Each bravely faced enemy fire. Moral values learned in Orange and Butte counties, California served each well. All four safely returned. This blog offers untold and under told war stories that Gardner family members can read at their leisure. WW II airmen, soldiers, sailors, marines and merchant mariners received few leisure moments.
